Music at Hilton Lane is a joyful, creative and expressive subject where every child discovers the power of sound and the magic of making music. Through singing, playing instruments, improvising, composing and listening to a wide range of musical styles, pupils build their confidence, creativity and musical understanding year by year. They explore pulse, rhythm, pitch and the many dimensions of music, developing skills that help them perform with accuracy and express emotion through sound. From nursery rhymes and glockenspiels to recorders, violins, rap and jazz, children experience a vibrant curriculum that celebrates culture, identity and imagination. Music at Hilton Lane encourages teamwork, self‑expression and a lifelong love of music—ensuring every child has the opportunity to shine as a performer, creator and musical thinker.
